Future Plans
This is a special section for us and a great chance for you to be a part of a WORLD RECORD!* As of now the current largest Catio in the world stands at 7000sqft and by the time we get these future planned projects completed we will smash that. So come on , let's do this!!
We have a great set up already for our kids (cats), but we know they always deserve more and we will build more for them as our community grows. As you can see from the ideas below we can and will expand across the acreage and into the woods with a heavy duty protected environment for our kids. If you would like to contribute into their lives and donate a little, it would be greatly appreciated by all. Every penny from donations goes to expansion and a bigger future play area which leads to more cameras of course. Thank you!!
ALREADY IN PLACE
As you can see from both the intro video and the pictures to your left, we already have a fantastic safe set up for our kitty family. Every window at the rear of our property has a cat window door. All of our cat windows lead out to the big play area outside and they have full use of underneath the huge deck at the rear of the home because I have cut hatches into the deck that use ramps to get up and down and give access to every other cat door. The fence around the property is designed to keep pets safe and is not possible to climb over and too high to jump over. Ozzy did find a way to escape though, he jumped on the roof from Vista Verde (the big green elevated sun bathing cat deck you can see against the rear of home, it alone is 16ft long), you often see a few belly up kids rolling around in the sunshine up there. Otherwise they are chasing one and other around and up the big mimosa tree in the shaded chase me zone. Lots of fun to be had in there but together we can do more for them.
Appox Cost to get us here was about $70,000 but worth every penny!
Stage 1 (A.B.C.D.)
Stage 1A will be an added extension onto the current set up. As you see from the aeriel photo it will be connected to what we call Catio 1 (the big Catio at the back of our home in the pictures above) and will extend out to the wood line with a 5ft raised 'Catwalk' as we call it. The Catwalk will travel raised across the lawn about 100ft to another fully enclosed steel wired secure play zone (Catio) which will measure approx 15ft by 30ft. From that Catio we will attach 2 more Catwalks (stages B & C) from each side heading about another 100ft in opposite directions, heading out to each side of the lawned property along the wooded tree line, giving them a wonderful experience of nature and lots more room to enjoy and chase each other around. These 2 extra end Catios will be huge, approx 30ft by 30ft also full of shelves, hidey holes and outdoor toys for them to play with. Finally in the last phase of STAGE1 will be one more Catwalk into the woods (D) where there is an open space to build another Catio in the trees, again safe and secure for all the super curious Kitties, surround sound, if you like, for Kitty Kats, what an experience for them and safe at the same time. This final Catio will be hexagonal in shape with a 15ft diameter and 15ft tall, made from timber and steel.

Stage 2 Extension
This stage will be a fantastic addition for the kids to enjoy a large indoor play area that is designed for any weather. We are going to sacrifice our favorite lawn area at the front of the property and build them a Catio over 2 levels, lots of big windows and access to another fenced off Play Zone for the crazies to chase each other and have fun. As you can see from the designs, the lower level is for playing and the upper level for chilling out. The upper level will have an elevated deck for their sunbathing needs, of course (WOW!, they really are the overlords that we never see taking over!!).
We will also build a big pavilion area with lots of outdoor seating so we can sit and relax with them occasionally and maybe sneak a camera under there too for y'all (that's midwestern talk for 'you all'). So join us on this epic journey and be a part of something fantastic for these guys. They deserve it!

Lets start with Stage 1 Lol!!!
The Big Dream
Stage 3 Extension will be a BIG step and only accessible to our grown up Kitties for their safety. The plan is bold but doable. At this stage we will fence off the whole rear of the property which is approx 4 acres which would include both, lots of level lawn and woodland in which to hide and play. The younger members of the family will have access to all the secured Catio areas where big birds can't get to them but now as the bigger kitties get adventurous they will now have access to a huge piece of land but safe from dogs, coyotes, and vehicles, of course. We do live in the middle of nowheresville but there is the occasional car or truck that goes by at speed, so this set up gives them a SuperPlay space as the family grows (unintentionally btw, but life happens). The picture to the right shows the planned fenced zone. This will require a lot of tree trimming and capping and land clearing. This is a tricky landscape in some spots but were there is a WILL, WE have a WAY! With your help of course!
